Roman Empire Digital Project

My first project in my educational technologies class consisted of a 50 minute lesson utilizing 5 websites. The lesson I created focused on the Roman Empire especially architecture and law.

The first site I sent the students to was Khan Academy to view a video showing what Rome looked like at it's height.  This video is pretty neat and serves as a good start to the Roman lesson.

Next the students were sent to PBS.org to play the Roman Emperor game.  This is a fun way to introduce them to Roman culture.  They will learned some shocking information about some of the famous Roman Emperor.

Historyforkids.org was next, to learn some more specific information on Roman aqueducts.

The 12 Tables was the subject of the next website: unrv.com

I finished the lesson with a fun artifact identification game at: http://www.snaithprimary.eril.net/robject0.htm

This lesson should give the students basic of Roman culture, engineering, and law.
